Thaqafah means culture and our handmade shoes reflect world culture

Thaqafah began with our travels around the globe, noticing the colorful asthetics of different cultures that we’ve seen and experienced. And with our genuine love for shoes, along with being in the footwear business for about 8 years, we decided to launch our very own shoes that would be fashionable, sustainable, traditional, yet modern.

Our shoes will not only last for years to come, but the wearer will be actually wearing culture and history while being fashionable all the same. Our shoe line gives life to age old craft and gives jobs to those artisan/craftsmen who love to do their job…..by making shoes.

About Me

I am Lashonna creator and designer of Thaqafah Shoes. The brand was inspired by my travels to the middle east over the years, and my love for unique footwear. I grew up wearing very different shoes from local boutique’s that were imported from Italy as well as Spain and South America which added to my ambition to create beautiful shoes that no one else would have.

what We Do

We design our footwear using inspiration from the  east with western aesthetic. Our craftsmen are skilled and experienced and work closely with us to bring our designs to life.

We have different shoes sizes from size 36-42 depending on the shoe model. of boxes available for various appetites, from individuals to families. Each pair of shoes is made to order and we need 1-6 weeks to complete an order depending on the design

We are flexible with shoe orders. You can change items in your order for something you would like within 24 hours of your initial order. Once the shoes are assembled we customize the shoes according to the colours you have specified.

Expertise

My footwear journey began in 2006 when I started my first shoe business called Sole Shoe boutique, where I sold niche designer shoes from international brands. We have over 18 years in the footwear business and our knowledge and experience is vast and wide about the industry.

I design all of our collections according to region the shoes are inspired by. We work with local craftsmen from Pakistan, Turkey, Morocco, India, and Bali to produce our designs. Furthermore some of our exclusive shoes are made using crust leather hides in their natural state with no chemicals, then we dye them and paint them  to keep the brand sustainable by avoiding over production in colors and sizes that may sit for ages. Our non exclusive models are made to order as well to keep within our mission for sustainability and overproduction.
